If the thing is in a 'good Faraday cage' I don't think there is much to
be gained by grounding the cage. In fact, quite the opposite. I'd want
the cage to be complete coverage and as conducting as possible (think
EMI gasketing) and insulated from ground to reduce sheet currents. If
static is an issue, then it can  be grounded but through a highish
resistor.
