[Milsurplus] About that $400 T-17, here's the story

Last week or sometime someone posted info about an auction for a $400  
T-17 mic.  I had contacted the seller and asked about it. Here is the  
email reply I received, it's probably on the listing page as well.

As Paul Harvey would say, here's *the rest of the story*

"Thought you might be interested in how the T-17 saga ended. The  
young man who bid made a mistake. He had put in a bid of $1900 when  
he meant to put in $19.00, so the bid kept going higher due to  
bidding fever. When everything cooled down, the second bidder [had in  
a proxy bid of $400 and] no longer wanted it. I relisted for $30 and  
had no bids. I still have my T-17. So don't go putting all your  
T-17's in a bank vault. (Grin)"

So, I guess that'll learn 'em to remember how to write down their  
'nummers' and not put in a proxy bid for something that's ten times  
more than they's really willing to pay for it.
