Mike,

thanks. 

The only close-in NDB for KAGS is the Emory beacon,
an Initial Approach Fix for the ILS or
Localizer 17 approach and it is in the wrong location.
Emory beacon is off 15th Street, just south of the
Wrightsboro Road intersection, and to the west
of the railroad yard.  Been there.

I just noticed one interesting point about approach,
though, EMR beacon is no longer the step down fix,
EMR creates a radial for the stepdown fix, with
EMR being just slightly off the extended centerline
of the runway.  It has been years wince I've looked
at an AGS plate and I don't remember it being that way.
