I have one of the A-61 dummy load/RF ammeter units that was used for SCR-274-N benchtesting.  It has a 5 ohm resistor in it.  I can apply 10 volts *DC* to it and the ammeter will indicate very close to two amps, as expected.

That's one extreme data point.
