I was clearly talking about a NAVY radio. It is one few eyes have seen and may be the only 
example in existence.  It used 2 identical triodes. Somehow i seem to have the idea that the
instructions also illustrated use in an airplane. 

The BC-222/ 322 may have its quirks like frequency instability but it did work and due to its
transmit power, and skip frequencies, some pretty good ranges could pop up. Some 2000
miles in one instance i can think of. -Hue Miller
