Mike,

What you say is still pretty much true of the radios and the AM-65 but 
suddenly about a year ago the mounts became harder to find than FT-237's and 
FT-250's.  It seemed like almost overnight none of us who had always had several of 
each had anything left.  The last MT-299 I had was pieced together with parts 
from one each junker 297, 299 and 300 (each from a different source) and cable 
spares that had been sitting in my storage building for well over a decade.  I 
don't know of anyone I could call tonight or Monday and get one from.  The 
only thing I have left is an MT-298, the largest one of the bunch, and no one 
has ever wanted it.  I'm seriously considering whether it can be turned into two 
MT-300's or not.

The same thing has happened with DM-34, 35 and 37.  Overnight they suddenly 
dried up.
