Was this GRC gear made in not large quantities, or has most of it disappeared
overseas? It just doesn't seem to come up for sale often. I recall years back,
you'd see some in surplus stores - back when there were, surplus stores.
I wouldn't mind finding myself an RT-67, i think that's the one that covers
10 meters, but i have never even seen one.
Shortly after i moved to Oregon in 1997, i saw an RT-68 and PS and something
else, on a mounting, in smallish surplus store in Salem ( a/k/a Ensalemada ) in
new condx, for $400, which seemed a lot, at the time. The store had mostly
canvas surplus items altho i guess it says something that i cannot remember
a single specific item there except for this one radio. I'm pretty sure they were on
their last legs at that time; i don't know how a general interest surplus store could
survive nowadays, except for those quasi-surplus vendors called something like
"Large Lots" or whatever. -Hue Miller
