Jack,Dave,William,Robert,Mike,and All,
Thanks to you all for for your information and leads to component
parts. As I am an AN/ARC-5 fan ,is this BC-608-A "legal" with this
set?Did the Navy ever use this or were they locked into the ZB/YG
system? And, yes I understand the different usage.
Thanks to The Groups, you are always forthcoming with info and
encouragement!Still no leads on a manual other than Mike's schematic.

Jay
That SCR-274N with Pipsqueak was mine, back at the 2004 meet.
I made a post about what I discovered with the SCR-274N Pipsqueak
(officially an RC-96)back in April of 2004. It's in the ARC5 archives.
The BC-616 box does a couple of things. First off, is that
for the first second of the transmit cycle, the radio is
keyed on the channel selected by the control box, with MCW.
For the rest of the cycle, the transmitter is switched to channel one
with no tone.
I am pretty sure that this does NOT apply to the SCR-522 pipsqueak
setup, as all this switching is done in the BC-616.
I'd like to see the tech manual on the RC-96 system, anyone have
a copy?
