My experience in the Korean War was with fixed plant
equipment, except for TRC-1 and BD-xxx and SB-xxx
type stuff, and I don't recall any of it that didn't come from
WWII.   It was all the same stuff that I'd been installing
or maintaining since I got into AF radio in early '46.  It
wasn't until about '54 that I saw one of the first SP-600's,
and that was a training setup.   I still have a couple of
pieces of  test equipment from the '50's, and it is way
too heavy for any good reason.  Lot of iron there.
