Just remembering stuff from a VERY long time ago, Scott.
We did have the AN/URC-4 ELT radios in our survival gear.
One of the casualties of the mid-air between two B-52Fs
from 320 BW (Mather AFB) on 18 Jun 65 was Capt Bob
Armond, an instructor at the EW school at Mather when
I was there in class 63-14. Mather later named the EW
school building after him.
Son-in-law was Student Nav at Mather in 86. His NAV
class visited the EW school sometime during the year.
Found my pic in the rogue's gallery of pics on the wall.
He told me that my son (now a Pave Low helo pilot)
looked exactly like me (poor kid). Son-in-law now is
an EW himself!
BTW, when we arrived at Anderson AFB, Guam in 65,
B-52Bs from Biggs AFB (El Paso, TX) were there standing
nuclear alert!!

The RS-6 was long gone by the time the B-52 became king,
I would bet it was pulled from the kits by 1960, as my B-52C
dash one does not include its mention in ther survival equipment
section.
