I had thought I remembered the "bail-out"
beacon as AN/URC-4 but wasn't certain.
Looking at some of the referenced pages
confirmed my suspicion.

The RB-47 ECM with crew of 6 had 3 of us EWOs
housed in the bomb bay of the 47. One place
they were based was Lockbourne AFB, OH near
Columbus, OH. Several of these were shot down
by the Soviets during the cold war. Families of
the lost were just told the planes mysteriously
crashed. I believe Russian records have been
released that document these shoot-downs.
