Forgot to add:
Not really "martial" theme music...
(that would be marches and nationalistic songs)
Guadalcanal March is the only listed march, but not a true march movement.
In the Classical sense it tells a story in about 6 movements or so.
(If you hear it on the actual LP recording)
In the Movie business it typically follows the action.
However, I would have the Clarinetist toot ACTUAL CW, not the random dits.
But Richard Rodgers did not have a Navy radioman as a consultant....:-)
(Now I've got it humming in my head and I'm stuck with it for at
least half the day... :-))
