Joe,

BC-312, 314, 342 and 344 are all covered in TM 11-850. There were several
editions, the final being 09/46. There were only two models of BC-344 built,
the basic and the -D. The -D is only covered by the final TM 11-850 edition.
Unfortunately, I've sold out of extra originals. One of these days I may get
around to completing a decent reprint but it won't be any time soon. There are
three scanned copies of the 09/46 floating around the Internet, claimed by
seven or eight different people. Quality varies between poor and terrible. But
they're free.

There is also a Repair Instructions manual, TM 11-4002, covering BC-314-(*)
and BC-344-(*) (all models). Reprint available.

If you have one of the numerous PIB's covering a single model of BC-342, it
won't really help much. The answer to your second question is "sorta".

The answer to your third question (which I forgot to copy forward) is
"exactly the same as in the BC-312, 314 and 342". You will probably need to rebuild
the dual electrolytic in the RA-20. There are no new replacements available
and if you try to replace it with an axial lead TV universal replacement dual,
you'll build a fire hazard into your set. Otherwise, you may need to rebuild
some of the triple .05's. The .047 axial lead metallized polyester units that
Fair sells are perfect for the project. I've done several dozen of them.
They also work OK for the flat paper units if you find any leaky. But in
general, there aren't any capacitors in the BC-312 family other than the RA-20
filter whose failure might destroy something you'd have a hard time finding a
replacement for.
