You're welcome. On the date, that's the way that the nameplates were done in
the 30's. Sometime after July 01, 1939 they (the Signal Corps) changed to
putting the more familiar (to us) order numbers on the nameplates. For example,
a BC-186 that I once had was 880-NY-40, which means last half of '39 or first
half of '40. This practice continued into the 60's.
