Joe,

Headset HS-30 was supplied with headband, two receivers and wye cord CD-620.
CD-620 is terminated in two small spade lugs. To use HS-30, you need one of
four additional cords which attach to the spade lugs. Two of the four cords are
terminated with PL-54 and also require Bailout Cord CD-307-A, which was made
in various lengths. Two of the four cords are longer and terminated in PL-55
(don't require CD-307-A). One of each length cord includes a step-up transformer
and the resultant assembly is 8000 ohms. The other of each length includes a
straight-through terminal block and the resultant assembly is 256 ohms.

CD-604 8000 ohms, 6" length teminated in PL-54. Requires CD-307-A.
CD-605 8000 ohms, 36" to 80" length teminated in PL-55.
CD-933 256 ohms, 6" length teminated in PL-54. Requires CD-307-A.
CD-874 256 ohms, 36" to 80" length teminated in PL-55.

The short answer is that someone has already installed a CD-604 on your HS-30
so you need a CD-307-A and the receiver needs to be connected for high
impedance output.
