Just a bit of advice from the group switch cleaning restoration advice 
from the Group

After 20 years I had to Recapped my AN/URM-25D.  Why?  Modulator would 
not output any tone and the Xtal output was non existent.  Noticed a 
oily residue on some of the paper caps!

So - that finished.  Testing out the unit, no Xtal 1Mhz? or Audio 
Modulation output 400 or 100 Hz tone. The Xtal-CW-Exten Mod-Mod switch 
in Xtal or  400~  or 1000~ modes will not output a signal unless I mess 
with the switch.  I  "cleaned" the switch with spray contact cleaner.  
Well apparently not well enough. 

Im looking for any thoughts on cleaning techniques, tools or chemicals 
to safely clean the switch.
