Mark,

There are three different transmitters, two different dynamotors and one
vibrator supply commonly lumped as "BC-223".

BC-223 is 12 volt only and has a terminal strip on the left end instead of
connectors.

BC-223-A is 12 volt only and has connectors on the left end. The rest of its
circuitry is essentially the same as BC-223.

BC-223-AX is 12/24 volt and has connectors on the left end. Balance of
circuitry same as BC-223-A.

PE-55 is 12 volt dynamotor for BC-223 and BC-223-A. Will work with BC-223-AX
if transmitter is set to 12 volts.

PE-125-AX (vibrator supply) and PE-135-AX (dynamotor supply) are 12/24 volt
for BC-223-AX. Can be used with BC-223 and BC-223-A if set to 12 volts.

Manual covering BC-223 and BC-223-AX is TM 11-272 on SCR-210-(*) and
SCR-245(*). Reprint $22.50 plus shipping. Manual covering BC-223-AX is un-numbered
Instruction Book covering SCR-245-(*)X. Reprint $15.00 plus shipping.

The various models of SCR-245-(*) and SCR-245-(*)X relate to the specific
vehicle they were to be installed in. Differences between models are mostly
cables and brackets. Differences between cables are mostly only cable lengths.

Connectors that fit BC-223-A, BC-223-AX and the dynamotors and vibrator
supply are PL-150 (right angle) and PL-160 (straight) for power between transmitter
and power unit and PL-149 (right angle) and PL-159 (straight) for connecting
transmitter to receiver. Inserts in PL-150/160 are the same as in PL-64 and
inserts in PL-149/159 the same as in PL-61 (two of the connectors used with
BC-191 and 375). PL-64 and PL-61 will work OK. Most of the male threaded
coupling shells on the transmitters and power units that I have seen also have the
lock hole. If they don't, just don't go bouncing your Halftrack across
Kasserine Pass. :-)
