One of the guys I have been comparing notes with regarding ARC-5 type stuff, sent me this email:

"Hello Bill…I was pawing thru my junk pile today and came across this item that I had forgotten about completely.  I can’t tell you how many years I have had it in my possession.  It is part of a radio DF unit DU-1.  Specifically it is a coupler unit type CRR-50061, serial 9856 – accept date 12-15-42.  It’s very clean except for some mars in the paint in the loop."
