I'm looking for a logo or some such graphic that depicts radio
communications which could be representative of all the military service
branches. Was there ever such a thing? I believe members of this list are
some of the best to offer advice.

It will be used during the AWA annual Historic Radio Conference in August
put on for our members. The Conference theme this year is military radio.
Normally, we have a logo or some such graphic related to the theme printed
on our tickets, name badges, etc. Having just the Signal Corps graphic, one
that I know of for example, does not do justice to Navy, Air Force and
other contributing services to military electric and electronic
communications.

What do you folks think will work for this? (If anything :-/ )

We want to include basically anything regarding military communications
- telegraph, radar, nav, comm, crypto, etc. We include the timeline from
pre-1900 (1800's Heliographs, for example, are an interest) all the way up
to at least the Vietnam era. Equipment from other countries would also be
welcome, not just US gear.

BTW, for those who may not know, the Conference is from August 23 through
26 in Rochester, NY. See: www [dot]antiquewireless[dot]org/ if you want
more info, or email me off-list. Talks, seminars, a usually very impressive
Old Equipment Contest and a sizeable auction are the highlights of the
Conference. A flea market is also put on for those who like to swap and sell.

Thanks very much for your thoughts and consideration on this.

Regards, Chris Fandt, AWA Sect'y/Treasurer
and Beverly Fandt, Conference Pre-Registration Chair
