preset channels at any 500 Hz increment, Will work crosschannel with
receiver AN/ARR-36. Used with B-52 and C-130 aircraft. Replaced by

AN/ARR-36
Radio receiving set, HF, 2-24 MHz, 500 Hz steps in 4 bands. Reception: A1,
A3, F1. May be operated independently of any other comm equipment. May be
used in cross-channel operation with AN/ARC-21. Construction:
subminiaturized. Freq stability: 0.0015% or 250 Hz. Tuning: completely
automatic to any one of 44,000 freqs. C-451/ARC-21 and C-455/ARC can be used
without change in wiring to 20 preset freq operations. Used with B-52 and
B-58A aircraft. 27.5 vdc. TO: 12R2-2ARC21.
