Jack-
The WV-2 (EC-121) a/c had 2 wire antennas- running from top of fuselage
-above the wing- to the top of each outboard vertical stabilizer. These
were shared by the 2 ARC-38s, the ARR-41 and the loran A.
The P2V (SP-2H) a/c had one wire to the top of its tail.
The one ARC-38, the ARR-41 and loran A was connected to it.
There had to be some means of automatic switching for all this stuff but I
never got involved with it.
I do remember the navigator getting very irate when he was trying get a
loran fix while I was sending a CW message, tho- blinkety, blink, blink
went the pulses on the scope!
Maybe someone else can add to this...
