Going from a crappy quality published photo; can't scan it at this time.
DF set in trunk about, imagine it ready to put on wheelbarrow or handtruck.
Case is about 30" long x 15-20" tall by about 12" deep, standing up like a
huge suitcase. Metal handle on top. In tent, it's set up on edge, and looks
like 2 shelves inside the trunk. Bottommost section has wooden doors
for a couple compartments. Above it sits radio thing. Headphone jacks
lower left corner. Row of 2-3 knobs above this. Above that, still to
left side, is nameplate. Pretty well centered both vertical and horizontal looks
like some kind of vertical dial scale window - not large. Radio looks about
20" wide and maybe 12" tall. Open space at top or ? storage, about 6 inches
or so from top of radio to top of trunk ( remember it's set on end. Looks like
some kind of metal leg or legs attach to trunk at bottom and one exits trunk
at top and goes out hole in tent, to Adcock type antenna. Operator seated
before radio and looks like he's fixing to adjust ?tuning? knob just to right
of dial window i described. Only one thing i recognise for sure: HS-30 !
Photo captioned, "DF, MARPI POINT, SAIPAN".
Anyone able to peg this? -Tnx- Hue Miller
