I know what you mean.  We MV'ers don't like it when we see a perfectly 
good MV painted red with a lift kit and a 350 chev engine in it either.

On the other hand, is it really wrong to take a junk radio that isn't 
rare and do something like that to?  Especially if you don't damage the 
case or throw away the parts removed?

This reminds me of the PRC-77 I bought on ePay in "unknown condition" 
that, when you removed the cover, had every module in it marked "bad".
