I spoke to someone who had been there about a year ago, and he told me that the old FLR-9 DF site is now an apartment complex.  Didn't get into the status of the remainder of the base, but I suspect it may have undergone the same development.

I've always been curious about the AB designation overseas vs. AFB in the US.  Anyone recall the story behind that?  I suspect I know, but have never heard the timing or official explanation.
