They will run stone cold because the magnetic induction is only 7% of
normal at 60 cycles. (at 60 cycle rated voltage) Voltage regulation
will be poorer because of inductance. Give it at try! If the
insulation could take it, you could run it at 13 times rated voltage,
but it probably can't. Do report on your inverter experience. (prying
minds want to know) You MAY be able to get it up to 110 volts.
