Note that the holes in the meter mounting plate do not match with any holes
in the wooden case. I believe someone just recycled the case.

That goes with a question regarding the mic connector
on the left hand side. It would seem to be not only a
case of not being able to tell a book by its cover but
also by its instruction sheet as well.
