I have the operator manual for the AN/ARN-11. There's no official JAN designations of individual components, just commercial model numbers. The Bendix RTA-1B HF receiver-transmitter is the same way. I have both commercial and military manuals for this unit, and I have the RT unit. It was officially known as the AN/ARC-9, yet only commercial model numbers are used in the military manual. Only red paint SC stamps (but no AN/ARC-9 marking) and the frequencies of the ten crystal-controlled channels shows the RT unit as a military AN/ARC-9.
The Setchell-Carlson range receivers are another story. I have two Model 512 12v receivers, one marked "R-76/ARR-13" with a red paint stamp and the other not marked at all. But the unmarked one came with a manual for the AN/ARR-13. Both had the common red SC stamps on them. The oddball Model 591 range receiver was apparently officially known as the "AN/CRR-1" but who knows why?
Then, you have the BC-348 receivers which became officially known as the AN/ARR-11. You got to love these naming systems. I'll bet that, just like the MN-28LB and the RTA-1B, no BC-348 ever actually bore a JAN marking.
I've always wondered why they didn't confer some official military nomenclature on the AVT-112/AVR-20/AVA-126 gear.
