I have my ART-13 on the bench, accomplishing repairs and playing with
the Low Frequency VFO plug in . I've been entertaining my Grandson with the
ability to transmitt over 100 watts on 1500 Kcs in the broadcast band.
Amazing how far you can hear a 100 watt transmitter while using a light buib
for an antenna. ------Anyway while I am waiting for the FCC truck to pull up
and while I have the set open, and not wanting to reinvent the wheel, I am
looking for a scan of the "Electric Radio" or "QST" article on using the
set on 160 meters.
I currently can transmit as low as 1975 Kcs but the VFO will obviously
have to be padded for any lower operations.
ER Magazine, December 91, page 24, Murphy , "Adding 160 meters to the
ART-13"
QST ,"Hints and Kinks" in April 1973,page 6."ART-13 modification for
160".
I would appreciate a scan of these articles if someone has the time.
