Unfortunately, there are still people with too much money,
too much ego and too little sense who want to show everyone
what a "hot dog warbird pilot" they are, and end up as greasy 
red hamburger.   There is an endless supply of people
like that; they can be replaced.
But the aircraft, which is part of mankind's heritage, is gone forever.
