Here's the beginning of it all

The TM for the BC-611 tells you how to run one with a D-cell substitute
for the proper long A-battery. You use a spent M1 .306 cartridge to
take up the space.

Anyone ever take a survey on BC-611 prod'n runs? Ran BC-611B
#1000-something on 3-42 Galvin contract @ Dayton 3885 check-in.

Appesrs to be one of 1st. Couple of guys got swooney

AND

Microphone elt. fm a transistor sister and got B+ from a paint stick
(Ace Hdw) of 9V batteries. Hamburger helpers.

AND if that'n not enuf, derailed the history train with a BC-1000
'altered' for 6m. Power fm a 12V gel cell & glue pieces.

I'm the guy behind it in Ray Fantini's neat http foto album.* Good
basis for an observe-only maven's voodoo doll.

If I wake up one morning with a mouthfull of original command set
internal-toothed #40 lockwashers, I'll know it wasn't the missus'
work
