Hi George -
Well, I have been collecting for well over 40 years, and needless to say
have accumulated a lot. Initially I started out collecting early vacuum
tubes in the 60's and then went on to early broadcast sets. I have been
licensed since 1963, so had my share of surplus from prior to me getting my
license. The few dollars I managed to get from my paper route went to Fair
Radio or B&A. Of course over the years I disposed of the so called less
desirable items to be able to afford those new elusive pieces. Anyway, the
problem becomes, that there is so much that none of it can be enjoyed, as
none of it can be accessed. My goal is to dispose of as much as possible so
I can enjoy the items I really like, and at the same time pay off my recent
ex-wife to whom I still owe a bunch of bucks. BTW, the radios had nothing to
do with the divorce, if anything, in that respect, she always supported me.

Mike:
I was just thinking earlier, it was time for someone to start a
controversy on here, as it has been so quiet. So, your misdirected
message at least gave us something to read. And I envy there still
being stacks of surplus somewhere. We used to have lots of stuff
around here when SAAMA was going strong back in the 60s and before,
but the stacks quickly disappeared to provide electronics for the
Central and South American armies and rebels. When you are supplying
both sides, inventory empties out quickly, HI!
