the 1335 didn't raise an eyebrow since it was priced too low per

  240+/- BC-684 xtals in new packing  $30

Artillery band freq.s (27-38 mhz).  '1335 one-piece successor to '659/pe120.
GI motor pool mavens should love it - and it's ham-legal w-b FM on 
29-29.7 mcs

And the xtals.  Really only for the BC-684.  Mounts are FT-241.  Have thot
they might be employed as hand-outs @ new-wave ceremonies.  At 12 cts
per they're much cheaper than tumbled granite or marble.
