Radios were on the ground with antennas extended.The handsets used were
not original but I think from the later jeep sets.Andy kept one hand on
the case of his to act as a counterpoise.I don't think Andy or Tom have
the manuals as they seamed to be experimenting with the tune procedure.

Did they have the antennas extended or collapsed?
Manual calls for using them collapsed while in on a
man's back, and we have photos of them in action
being used that way.
