[Milsurplus] SCR-288 or TBX??

This photo came out of a wartime packet of 10; i have seen maybe 3 different

packets. In these, there were 2 other shots of the TBX, one in use on Roi

Island ( think this is one of Guadalcanal group ) and one staged photo 

showing some Marines "using" the TBX on the deck of their troopship,

but the antenna is not connected.

You know, the TBX was a pretty capable set and if the Navy had only 

provided for a seat type gen option also, this maybe could have been

even a more practical radio than some of the Army portables.   The

Navy did have such a gen, in the MBM set, where the gen could

attach to seat+legs or be clamped to a tree as with the TBX gen.
