Yes, it's a cinch, it is TBX - the key is certainly the giveaway.
However, the Marines and Navy using it is not a deal-maker.
I just obtained from Robert Downs the "Ships 275 Catalog
of Naval Radio Equipment", and as usual, it is a reprint of
superb quality, as well as VERY interesting reading. ( For
a certain kind of nut. ) It contains a whole section on SCR
gear - looks like the Army's catalog sans the obscure or
uncommon stuff. One thing that cracks me up is the Navy
catalog lists the SCR-274N; it would be funny if the Navy
was using a set copied from the Navy. The catalog also shows
an interesting "early" BC-1000, with sharp corners, no case
corrugation, squelch knob in another location, an AN-130
that looks like the BC-222 antenna folded down, and the radio
having a long vertical tube along its side, for storage of the
antenna.
I found it a wee bit odd some sets didn't make it into
catalog, such as MO, or maybe CMS, which was out
by then. DAG is there, which is a surprise to me.
