Dave, i might have this photo somewhere. I think it is part of a 10-pack
of photos sold during WW2 with theme of Navy in Pacific. I don't
recall who the selling firm was. ( These packs were "Navy official photos,
but just BTW, i was also told of a Marine photo lab on Saipan that
employed their own facilities to produce souvenir packs of photos,
for $10 a set of 12. Big money back then, but the answer was, out on
the islands, "what could you spend your money on? ".

I took this to be a TBX.
The point about the squared corners seems valid. I don't have a ready
conclusion on that.
The gen IS TBX.
Could the operator's knee be that close to the front of a BC-474,
because of its fold-down cover?
The form factor DOES seem to favor BC-474 over TBX. Looks longer
than a TBX.
TBX would have the accessory case sitting below it or nearby. I sure
don't detect it anywhere here.
Dave, how is the gen in the photo attached to the tree?
Isn't that on top the radio, one of those TBX keys with molded rubber
cover?
What is the "75th" ? Is that an Army unit, or?
Dave, why don't you place your BC-474 out in the yard, on a cardboard
box, and walk away enuff paces at the same kind of angle. Print out this
photo and eyeball both.
We will have to devise a new service ribbon for your scouting skills.
