Hue:

     It's an AN/PRT-4, the TX part of the alleged PRC-88.  The RX half is the AN/PRR-9.  These two items were developed from late 1950's or so into the early 'Nam years.  They were intended to replace the PRC-6.  But their inconvenient operating config (RX on helmet, TX clipped to vest or harness) quickly led to their replacement by the PRC-25.
