Personally, I would absolutely LOVE to have either an SCR-299 OR a
complete SCR-399 with deuce-and-a-half, the trailer, and the
generator.

What fun!

I once read an account of a radio crew during the Korean fracas who
absolutely HAD to get a message to either Pearl or to San Francisco (I
don't remember which), and conditions were terrible. So they fired up
TWO SCR-399s, set the transmitter frequencies about 500 Hz apart,
keyed them both with one key, and "made comms", as they say.

It was a small, but thrilling story for me.
