[Milsurplus] TBW / RBM chest legs question

I have the set of legs for RBM receiver chest. These are the legs as
shown in the manual with the disk/pads at the bottom of the legs to help
prevent ( I presume) the legs from sinking into the sand or dirt. Yet
the photos and drawings in the TBW manual show the legs for the xmtr
with no disk/pads at the bottom of the legs just a pointed end on the
leg that would sink right into the soil.

I tried using a extra set of of RBM legs I have to support my TBW and
the weld joint on one of the legs fractured while I was in the midst of
setting the TBW upright. It's like trying to get a BC 610 up on stilts!

I guess my question is ...does anyone out there have the legs , as
shown in the TBW manual without the disk/pads, as well as the RBM legs
with the pads that they can compare the legs to see if there is a
difference in the way the way the welded flanged end of the leg that
fits into the channel on the chest is different in anyway. I'm guessing
the TBW leg is beefed up in someway to support the weight. Maybe also
the TBW legs are made of solid rod as opposed to the hollow tube legs
used on the RBM.

Thanks

Paul
