For those that like to see mil gear in the movies....
Check out 'The big lift' made in 1950 starring Montgomery Clift and Paul Douglas.
Set in the Berlin airlift, it has many shots of a landing approach system with good shots of the
antennas. Also has several minutes shot inside and of the scope display with a laymans
explanation of how it works.
Been over a year since I watched it and at the time was not interested in the gear, so no idea
what was used in the film.
Need to watch it again and see if I can catch any tags on the gear....
