Now it's getting more interesting......just got back with the second
pickup full of stuff. Turns out the trailer is a AN/FPN-16 Radar Set with
Air Conditioner and what I can tell, most of the stuff still in place,
but "cannibalized some". The round CRTs are AZ-EL Ring Indicators IP127A
(dang heavy). I did find the first really good item ......a complete,
with original meters, very nice looking R-390A stuck in one of the rack
cabinets after we finally got the isle cleared. That will bring her some
much needed money.

Subject: [Milsurplus] Another Estate
I volunteered to help again to dispose of an estate which translates into
"trashman". Why do so many oldtimers hold onto tons of MARS stuff like
sonar
units, old scopes, radar antennas, portable trailers, frozen rusty
generators, and lord knows what .....park it outside in the weather for
30-50 years and leave it (in this case) for the, non ham, niece to get
rid
of. There are a few saleable items which will bring them some needed
money
but a lot is junk in aluminum rack cabinets which might be useable.
Just got back after a half day out in the hot Texas sun..................
and only one pickup full.
