Case in point, the WEC0 18A tx.

This is an unexpected piece using 3 ea. 306 pentodes... the 2.5V fil.
version of the 307A that was the final in the BC-654.

Cube-shaped thing which, I believe, uses 1 tube as xtal osc. & two in
final.

There's info on web of avail. dwg.s for the 18A rx that makes me guess
that there was once an "18A system" consisting of a rx, tx, modulator, &
p-s.

Where used?  18A tx smacks of aviation.  Maybe in Indiana Jones Sikorsky
or Martin PAA flying boats in mid-30s?
