The ARC-5 gear was much more popular. Aircraft gear was much smaller
and lighter. Cheaper, too.

Fair Radio sold them (as I remember) but their cost was far higher
than the ARC-5 stuff. Navy gear, being bigger and heavier, never
became popular until about 20 years ago..
