So when did the military dump the GRC-14 ? I don't recall ever seeing surplus dealer ads for these components, unlike with the GRC-19. Seems like this would have made a pretty decent SWL receiver back in the heyday of SWL, i mean up thru the mid-1960s. Also looks like a good chunk of weight comes from the LV PS and brute force filtering. -Hue Miller
