Anybody have a clue what this strange radio receiver
was used for ?

"Marconi LF2-2-73521 special" rack mounted.

It appears to be late 1930's judging by the 80
rectifier and array of metal octal tubes with grid
caps.

Is it crystal controlled with two positions (a 1195 kc
crystal is present in one of them).

It features a big red 117 volt lamp driven by a big
relay.

It reminds of CONELRAD type receivers, but appears to
be 15 yrs too early for that.

Thanks Tino VE2GCE
