The  only related info I have is that the US Navy version (RF-301 in gray,
AN/URC-58) and the US Army version (RF-301 in green, AN/GRC-165) used a
microphone called M-143/GR.  The AN/GRC-165 operator's manual TM
11-5820-759-12 doesn't have any other details.
