The one exception to that was the SRR 11/12/13 series...  Although being a 
first line unit in the late fifties, those first ship overhauls 
and  installs showed that this series was more trouble than they were 
worth, apparently, and later ship overhauls stayed with their RBA/RBB/RBCs 
until the R390 became available.   (and some WRR's, no doubt)

On two fleet tin cans 1958-62 saw plenty of SRT14/15/16 but never any 
SRR's, the same vintage equipment.

Did not see RAK/RAL on these ships but did have remnants such as RAO, RBL 
(in Emergency Radio) and the always plentiful RBO's in Officer country and 
Chiefs lounges, etc. (even an AR-88)
