The surplus equipment was Stateside stuff.  "New In Box"
comes through a lot.  I've been a party to dumping in the ZI,
but it was a local decision, undocumented.  All the real dumping
right after the war was mostly in the Pacific Area.  In Europe
it would have been almost impossible to keep the equipment
out of the hands of the local moneymakers.  Although, there
is no doubt in my mind that a lot of equipment went to a Middle
East start-up country.  There were ways.  Even now-a-days
the DRMO's are managed under contract by people from this
same Middle East area.  Subtle enough?
