This was forwarded to me and I don't know anything
more about the sets but will put anyone interested in
contact with the owner. They are in the Portland,
Oregon area.

A guy from the neighborhood "flagged" me down to get
some information. He came by the following equipment
indirectly from WW2 and apparently from the Navy. The
2 pieces are a matching power supply and 2.0 - 18.1
MHz XMTR. It appears that it can be powered from 110
VAC @ 60 cycles. (How'd that happen?) The XMTR has
2 x 803's for the finals and runs about 125 - 150
watts (out probably). It is a CW/MCW/AM phone XMTR.
I looked at the units (see pix, #24 is XMTR, #25 is
P/S). The transmitter has what appears to be many,
many detailed controls (e.g. detailed adjustments and
metering for filament voltage options, modulator
controls, etc. also an antenna matching unit). It may
actually have a T/R relay in it too. (?) The output
is for balanced line output so I suppose it is
designed for either 300 - 450 Ohm impedance antennas.
The matching units stand about 3+ feet tall. Each
unit weighs well over 100 pounds. Both are
manufactured by General Electric. This is US Navy
surplus radio equipment that has truly earned the
affectionate term of "boat anchor."
There are a few scratches, one meter bezel is broken,
and plenty of dust, but they seem in pretty good shape
for being over 60 years old. No power has been
applied for quite some time as there are no matching
interface cables.
The nomenclature follows:
CG-52206 HF Radio Transmitter
.
CG-20122 Rectifier Power Unit
