Hi Rick,
I'm not a ferroresonant transformer expert but have had several over the
years. All of the caps were oil filled paper types and I imagine were
spec'd for fairly high continuous current. The caps on the transformers
from IBM computer systems all were rated at 550VAC or a little more and as
I recall all of the xfrmrs were made by Acme in Cuba NY. Probably not the
Acme that Wile E. Coyote buys from. Mine were all from the 60's and 70's
and must all have been PCB filled. Somebody else's problem now as they
were too heavy to move.

Is the capacitor used with this ferroresonant transformer a motor "run"
capacitor or does it have to be specifically made for transformer use?
Thanks,
Rick
